August 1917Founded as personal business of Sosuke Oshitani who is the first president to sell various felt, cork and supplies for rail cars.
July 1936Re-organized as OSHITANI KOGYO CO,.LTD. Capital fund 150,000 yen.
April 1937Set up Tokyo branch at 1-7, Higashi, Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
June 1938Increased capital fund total 300,000 yen.
September 1938Inaugurated Ushidate Factory at 289, Ushidate, Shonai-machi, Toyono-gun, Osaka, and started felt-packing process and metal-stamping process.
March 1941Established OSHITANI SHOJI CO,. LTD. based on commercial department of OSHITANI KOGYO CO,. LTD. Capital fund 150,000 yen.
February 1943OSHITANI SHOJI CO,. LTD changed company name as OSHITANI SANGYO CO., LTD.
April 1943Plant and equipment of Ushidate factory completely moved to 1190, Inada, Fuse-city, Osaka. (Now became KINKI FELT KASEI CO., LTD.)
April 1948Increased capital fund total 500,000 yen.
October 1949Dissolved OSHITANI KOGYO CO., LTD., completed liquidation on March 1950.
August 1950Increased capital fund total 2 million yen.
September 1950Closed Tokyo branch and established OSHITANI FELT CO,. LTD. (Now became OSHITANI FELT KASEI CO,. LTD.)
May 1951At death of company founder Sosuke Oshitani, Satoru Inoue was promoted representative director form executive director.
August 1953Inaugurated new factory at 2-37, Yoshino, Fukushima-ku, Osaka-city and started to produce ALSER refrigerant and various packing processes.
December 1954Increased capital fund total 3 million yen.
August 1955Representative director Satoru Inoue passed away. At his death, Tomoharu Kimura was promoted from executive director on next September.
August 1956Set up Umeda sales office at 47, Eiraku-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka-city as sales branch specialized for handcraft items and clothing felt.
March 1959Increased capital fund total 6 million yen.
February 1961Increased capital fund total 12 million yen.
May 1962Tomoharu Kimura resigned representative director with comeback president system, but remained in office as executive director. Yoshio Oshitani was newly chosen as the second president.
February 1966Increased capital fund total 15 million yen.
April 1967Increased capital fund total 18 million yen.
July 1969Set up Ichinomiya sales office at 2-23-4, Izumi, Ichinomiya-city, Aichi to expand sales of Chubu area.
July 1975Changed business name from Ichinomiya sales office to Nagoya sales office, and moved to 153-2, Morimoto, Tanyo-cho, Ichinomiya-city, Aichi.
March 1978Closed Umeda sales office for land expropriation of Osaka-city urban plan, combined all operation into head office.
May 1979Head office moved to new premises at 4-16-12, Yoshino, Fukushima-ku, Osaka-city.
July 1992Nagoya sales office moved to 5-19-24, Morimoto, Ichinomiya-city.
March 1996Inaugurated Chihaya Factory at 306, Moriya, Chihayaakasaka-mura, Kawachi-gun, Osaka and started to produce paper cartons.
June 2002Increased capital fund total 30 million yen.
April 2004Yoshio Oshitani resigned representative director and president and was promoted representative director and chairman. Akihiro Oshitani was newly chosen as the third president.
October 2004Set up Tottori sales office at 3-302, Minami-yoshikata, Tottori-city, Tottori to expand sales of Sanin area.
July 2006Established OSHITANI CZECH S.R.O. in Czech Republic as production base abroad.
December 2006Established OSHITANI AMERICA INC. in the United States.
February 2007Established OSHITANI DE MEXICO.S.A.DE C.V. in Mexico.
June 2009Established OSHITANI MALAYSIA SDN.BHD in Malaysia.
September 2009Established OSHITANI TRADING MALAYSIA SDN.BHD in Malaysia.
September 2010Established OSHITANI HONG KONG LIMITED in HONG KONG.
